What will we be showing?

Umbrellas are still our main business, but our product range has grown quite a bit over the years.

At the fair, we’ll bring different types of:

• Promotional and custom umbrellas
• Golf umbrellas
• Folding umbrellas
• Straight umbrellas
• Kids umbrellas
• Patio and garden parasols
• Beach umbrellas
• Event tents

Some customers come to us with a finished design and simply need a manufacturer.

Others only know the basic idea — for example, a branded umbrella for a hotel, a golf event or a promotional campaign — and need help working out the size, material, printing and packaging.

We work with both types of customers.

Custom umbrellas are not just about putting a logo on them

This is something we have learned from working with overseas customers for many years.

A logo is only one part of a custom umbrella.

Depending on the project, we may need to look at the frame, fabric, printing method, handle, opening system, packaging and shipping together.

For a promotional project, keeping the cost under control may be important.

For a hotel or hospitality project, appearance and durability may matter more.

For a children’s umbrella, safety and materials become much more important.

So instead of pushing one standard model, we normally start with the customer’s actual requirement and work backwards from there.

We know that sourcing from China can sometimes involve more work than simply finding a factory.

You may need to deal with sampling, artwork confirmation, production, inspection, packaging and shipping — often with several different suppliers involved.
